In the past 8 days Michigan has had a cold wind and wind chill temperatures that make it feel even colder. It has warmed up today into the 20s and it is supposed to be nice over the weekend and then more freezing cold coming in Monday.
The cold has been so severe that schools in over 400 school districts closed for 2 days this week as some children walk to school and others wait for the bus.
I do not believe it has been this cold in our region of Michigan in at least 3 years.
Any of you who live in warm places might smile but those who live in cold places will probably not smile.
In Grand Rapids where our Gavin lives they had the extreme cold and also a blizzard last weekend that shut things down. The snow traced its way right along Lake Michigan dumping snow up to 20" in places. Lake effect snow is not very predictible.
So if you live in a cold place like we do then snuggle up and keep warm and if you live in a warm area keep us in your thoughts!!
LOL,
Marjorie

Marjorie I live in Virginia, and he first part of the winter we were having Temps in the 60s and 70s. But not so far in February, we just had our first snow fall and the temps at night have been between -5 and -10 below freezing AT NIGHT, and they are calling for more snow Monday night and Tuesday all day. So believe me I know just how you are feeling, I'm SICK OF WINTER! FairyTale!

Gosh! Simeon and I think we are freezing in the mornings here because it gets down to 53 degrees! Of course the houses in Hawaii have no heat and they are paper-thin insulation-wise. More than anything else, your blood thins out fast in the tropics!

So I have this tiny little space heater that I huddle next to in the wee hours of the morning!
