I am watching "From the Waist Up" and while watching a segment from 1956 with the girls screaming, I got to thinking about how the 1950s in America were not what really would be termed 'free-spirited.' I wonder what in the world the crying and screaming young ladies would have done had Elvis been even physically closer to them.
No person in my lifetime has been able to so mesmerize an individual and I do not believe, even when I am gone, that there ever will be another "Elvis." He had it and he shared it and thanks to technology we can continue to watch that smile....the one no one could ever duplicate...the way he had of 'playing with the audience'....Elvis was Elvis and he lives, always with love in my heart.

Thanks all!!

Gina.

A number of years ago I read about a university in your state that was going to be offering a class called Elvis 101. Do you know if the university ever did it or have they changed the name of the course? Initially the course was to study the historical impact of Elvis on culture and changes that came about because of his being here. :D
