I received the following response from Larry concerning my review of his LEAVES OF ELVIS' GARDEN:

Quote:
Dear Maia ~

I hope this finds you well and in good spirits. Just read your review, and I was deeply touched and honored by your remarks. As you kindly offered, I will be putting it on my website, of course with the appropriate credit for you and a link to your ELC site.

If there is anything you ever need please let me know - I'm looking forward to meeting you in person some time in the not-too-distant future.

Aloha,
Larry

Isn't he just the nicest guy; I truly enjoyed his book and have scanned it again before sending it to a friend to read and enjoy having. I hope to have a personally autographed copy from Larry soon to keep in our "Elvis" collection of books. Starla liked it very much also and is interested in getting a couple of the books he mentions and includes in chapter headings. She's not easy to please and she thought Larry's view and help given to Elvis was something that Elvis needed and appreciated a great deal. Larry might just well have kept him "sane" for all those years-even those when he was not present there for a while...Elvis kept on reading those books and hiding the fact from family and etc:...he needed a friend like Larry who could guide him, discuss with him and help him see all sides as he was prone to focus to much on one single thing and miss a big part of the picture as a result. Once he focused on something, he was into it and hardly anything could break his concentration until he was sure of what it meant or understood or whom ever he was talking with understood...or not. He didn't give up easily. Anyway, Maia, that was a great interview, detailed and carefully thought out to cover all the bases and get the point across so everyone would want to read it for themselves. So very insightful and thorough, as usual. Blue ribbons to you! wjh

I have received right now my book "Leaves Of Elvis' Garden!

Un-expectly, Larry has been so gentle as to sign a short meaningful and beautiful dedicatory that I appreciate so much...

THANK YOU, LARRY. It really touches my heart.

As soon as I finish reading it, I'll try to bring a commentary to the Forum.
