I love the Salvation Army too, they're a great organisation who will help others with lots of practical ways to love people out in this world of ours! It's important, I believe, as far as one is able, to do what one can. In one of the songs we had in worship in church yesterday, it speaks of the Lord Jesus as 'Servant King'; He's the Son of God and King of Kings, but always humbled Himself here on earth to share with and love others including to wash His disciples' feet!

Jesus also ate with Beggars and Prostitutes, that's why he wasn't Believed by the Priest's at the Temple that he was the Messiah. Like the Woman that Washed Jesus Feet.

We went bowling yesterday. We have filled a box 4 feet tall 3 times with new toys and will try to get it filled a 4th time. The food boxes have been filled 6 times and the mitten/hat tree is full and even the box for nonfood items like shampoo/soap/toothpaste etc. is almost full. We added 14 large Xmas stockings and we have had enough small toys and individually wrapped candy brought in to make certain at least 14 kids will get a stocking, too.
Our county has an unemployment rate twice the national average so the box items will really be needed this year.
The bowlers have been very generous and I thank the One above for that.
