Post subject:  the trendy thing??

I guess I am old fashioned because I have a hard time understanding some of these names, as Fairytale pointed out about pear et al---Paltrow named hers Apple. I am glad our grandsons have names such as Gavin and Hayden. Elizabeth and Matthew have chosen a middle name. If they have a boy the middle name will be Matthew after Matthew and his dad and if they have a girl her middle name will be Ardith. That is the first name of Walter's only sibling and Elizabeth spent a great deal of time with Ardith and her memories made with Ardith are very, very precious to her.
Elizabeth asked Walter today if he was okay that a granddaughter would have his sister's name as a middle name and he told her that pleased him very much.
I am not sure I understand why the girls have boys names but that is up to each parent and or parents in this place called earth!! :)

Post subject:  we do not know

Neither Walter or I know the origin of the name Ardith. She was born in 1932. Maybe there was someone that Walter's mom and dad knew with the name???? Her middle namce was Joyce. I guess I will look up the orig so I can let you all know!!!

Ardith is a Hebrew name meaning flowering grasses and angel. Walter's mom loved flowers and that may be why and maybe it was more common in 1932???

I looked up the name Ardith and it has some beautiful meanings behind it. It is Hebrew, but the Swedes also use it. I am Swedish, but have never heard that name. I agree that it is quite pretty.
