Yes, an interesting interview! :bouncy:

It would be GREAT if Lisa gets her wish to have an Elvis movie made in the style of and done as well as "Walk The Line" was for the life of Johnny Cash.

Someone commented that Adam Lambert would be a good possibility for playing Elvis. He has the looks and voice I think to pull it off but have no idea what his acting abilities are like. Do you have any ideas as to who you would like to see play Elvis?

It would be quite a chore to find someone to play him! But a fun one I'm sure...
I liked the Walk the Line movie except for the snide reflections of it being Elvis
who used "uppers" etc...when it wasn't really necessary to the plot of the film.
But at that time, it was the way of public opinion based on what was being "told"
by just about anyone in journalism and otherwise. But the film it's self was pretty good- John never denied his use of drugs, and he did everything he could in his later years to "make a difference" in life for others in trouble etc. I always did
like his style; I did get to see him in person but never close enough to speak etc
and he was "bigger in his presence" than he was on film or photo's- that's for
sure. Often entertainers are not that special off stage- he was one who was.
Good to see you here Laurie.

:hello: The Only one I thought came any where even Close to Playing Elvis is Dale Midcliff, I seen him Play Elvis in one of the Elvis Movies a Long time ago. I'm thinking it was Elvis and Me, but to me Dale is Soft Spoken like Elvis and he had some of Elvis' Mannerism's Down Fairly Well. I to liked Walk the Line but not the Part they had about Elvis, but the rest of the Movie was Great.

I've been thinking often of who could act and look convincingly enough to express who Elvis was, what atmosphere he created... 'Till now, my conclussion is that being virtual technics as advanced as they are, I would choose someone like Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Ring) who has the sensibility and the talent to make Elvis live again on screen, with the advantages that virtuality can also include other spheres of reality (other dimensions so to speak) if so wished.

I can't imagine another way to express the wholeness of Elvis being... I wish so much to be able to take that idea to Lisa Marie, but she seems un-abordable. I'll try to project it to her mentally -like Elvis surely could do sometimes... :)

Of course the script is basic. Who writes it must have a true connection with Elvis, be openminded and greatly imaginative as to find a good way to express the un-expressable...
