I saw a child with an Elvis Tshirt on !

Postby Elvisman77 » Wed Mar 22, 2006 8:51 pm

This just made my day ! I was in the lunch room with my class and I saw a kid with a bright blue Elvis tshirt. It was a 50's face shot. I was very happy to see this.
Who knows, maybe this generation has some chance to understand the meaning of REAL MUSIC !

Child with an Elvis Teeshirt on

Totally agree and this sure gives us cause for hope that the next generation will keep Elvis' name and memory alive and remembered! I won't shove Elvis down anyone's throat so to speak but if they ask me about him I sure as hec ain't gonna stay silent!

Saw a young girl in town the other day and she had an Elvis bag, sort of like a handbag with Elvis' face on, very different and quite unique. Found out since there is a shop in the Mall that does lots of designs - 8) but is just so great that there is a whole new crowd that loves the man and his music!

Elvis shirt

Postby Wanda June Hill » Fri Mar 24, 2006 11:25 pm

Well you guys might just flip! There was a little boy and a little girl a bit older in Target the other day when I ran in there looking for electric blankets. The little boy was wearing an Elvis T shirt and the little girl had on a kid's purse with a picture of him-50s style with a guitar. I looked at mom and she was probably 28 or so and I said, those kids are so cute-and they like Elvis? She said we all like him in our household! I said ours also, but were your parent's fans? And she said, no but my grandmother was and she played his music when I was a kid and we'd dance together. Her kids loved his records and always spotted any Elvis movie coming on tv and for Christmas last year she got them both a set each of his movies! I just about wanted to hug her-and I'm not a stranger hugger! Anyway, that made my day
and I'm glad I'm not the only one! Thanks for putting that on Mark! Keep up the good work-wjh
By the way, you can't buy electric blankets anymore-not this year-it's all summer stuff in all the stores! good grief.
