Elvis - A Lighted Candle

I want to put a picture of Elvis beside my name (is this my avatar?) but I can't figure out how. I read the how-to. I'm not computer illiterate or anything but does anyone have any tips? Do I just search the web and find something that I like? And from there....? Thank you!

If you don't have any web photos of Elvis you would need to get them from the web for your avatar. You can choose something from the ELC website if you like:

Just LEFT click on the image and then save it to a file.

THEN you go to Photobucket and sign on (with a user name and password just as you did here) and you can upload the image off your computer (remember where you filed it on your computer!)

THEN you take the "url" code (cute and paste) and put it into the avatar box on your profile. BUT the image needs to be the right size first.

Er...why don't you just let me put a nice Elvis avatar image up for you for now. Then later if you have one you want to use I or someone here will put that up for you.

I'll put up an avatar for you and it can be changed later, if you want. I would suggest that you do get the hang of posting images with PHOTOBUCKET, as you are probably going to want to share photos on the ELC Forums in the future.

Thank you, thank you,thank you! I will get the hang of it. I can post photos anywhere else, but these are photos that are already in my computer. I keep getting hung up on the paste and copy thing. Every once in a while, I'll get it right by accident. I just need to practice. But thank you for that doll-faced picture! Now I'm not the odd one out, so to speak, with no avatar. Thanks!

I love that photo too. I think it was taken just after arriving to Graceland, coming back from Germany. There was arranged a meeting with the press. Maybe it reflects the moment when Elvis was asked about "the girl he left behind". He answered there was not anything romantic in the relationship and said something about having to be very careful while talking of these things. His expression in that moment was identical to that in your Avatar. You can see that his ears are reddening.

I have the interview filmed. I can't imagine any young man handsomer than Elvis that day. To me, he looked angelic, more than ever.. I'm not blinded by pasion. I showed it to my mate and asked him. He thought just the same.
