Elvis: Remembering August 16, 1977

Hi Wanda,

Sorry I didn't get a chance to write back to you much sooner. Unfortunately a few weeks ago, my left ankle was broken. Very painful! Had an operation to put a plate and screws in. Looking forward to that day I'll be able to walk good. For now I'm using a walker to get around the house.

Just wanted to let you know that my book will be released this June. You'll have a copy of my book. When it's ready, please let me know how I can get it to you.

Also, please let me know when your book will be released. As I'd promised the last time, I'll spread the words about your book to others. It would be a great honor to do that for you.

Hope to hear from you again. Take care!

Broken Ankle!

Postby Wanda June Hill » Mon Apr 03, 2006 7:03 pm

Hi Ron,

Hey, we have something else in common! I broke my ankle a few years ago-had surgery, plate screws and the doctor said, bubble gum and a couple of bobbypins did the job. It healed fine-as soon as I could I began to move it inside the cast as much as possible and so it was never stiff like they told me it probably would be. I also broke my tibia and all the ankle bones and tendons ripped-sounded like ripping a piece of material when it happened. Weird! I walk fine-just still need to be careful not to tear the gum and bobbypins loose-they hold the tendons-the doc said. He had a great sense of humor!
Don't know if you ever had one before-but don't put any weight on it at all if you can help it-it will heal much quicker and hurt less-after a while, you can if there is no pain-if there is wait! Those bones are picky!

My address is P. O. Box 1060 Nuevo CA 92567- And I hope they have books for me by the end of this month-there was a tad of a delay because the guy who is working on it had his $4,000 lap top stolen from the locked trunk of his car and it had my book in it! Anyway,
he's working on it again and it's about ready to be reviewed by me, approved and then it's books. I'm anxious too. I thought it would be done by now! I'll send one as soon as I get it-please sign yours for me!
I can't wait! Something to look forward to-the second one on Elvis' list of being happy-Something to do, is first-I got plenty of that! don't we all! wjh
