Julie I know by now you have read this Letter that Elvis wrote in Wanda's Book. But for the New Memebers that haven't read this and since tomorow Elvis well be 72, I thought i would put this Letter up.

" For All My Friends "

The times I've shared with you my friends,

cannot be bought with money, promises or frame.

Though shallownes has become the trend.

I'm not the kind to play that game,

I hold dear. So Im stating here and now

for all of you to hear,

And before I take my final bow,

It's your Love that brings the

song to me.

The melody of my soul is played

by your Love untold

Without you I am nothing and

could never be so bold.

The times we've shared, the

laughter and the tears.

Priceless memeories,

treasures all,

How could I ever fall

With you, I don't fear

that at all.

Elvis Presley, 1976

That is truly a beautiful and moving poem by Elvis. It was such a pleasure to read it again. Thanks Fairytale for posting it.

It behooves one to sense God as dwelling within each of us, rather than as some distant entity, far above and seemingly beyond our reach.

Thank you so much, FairyTale! I love to read it again and again.

In Spain, it's already 8th. To celebrate Elvis, I have played again the "Comeback '68", which was like a rebirth to him professionally. The main theme Elvis sang in it was "If I Can Dream", which was a kind of manifesto of his soul. It was made in June 30th, my birthday! And his, is my manifesto of Hope too. :P :P

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELVIS! Image

Thank you FairyTale, I enjoyed reading it on the site too!
He was so timid about doing that, he thought it wasn't any good and so said, "For what it's worth," Poor little boy, he just didn't realize how much it would mean to so many people, his friends/fans. Now he does!
Happy Birthday, Elvis- Stay cool, dude!

YOU ALL ARE VERY WELCOME, IF THERE IS STILL ANY DOUBTS ON HOW ELVIS FELT ABOUT HIS FANS. THEN ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS READ THIS, AND I KNOW HOW IT MUST NOT HAVE BEEN VERY EASY FOR ELVIS TO SAY LET ALONE WRITE DOWN HIS FEELINGS, BUT THANK GOD HE DID. I WAS WATCHING THE INTERVIEW ELVIS DID FOR THE ALOHA CONCERT AND THE POOR BABY WAS BREATHING SO HARD FROM NERVES, I WANTED SO MUCH TO BE THERE AND HOLD HIS SWEET HAND FOR SUPPORT. SO I'M SO GLAD YOU WERE TOUCHED BY THIS. FairyTale!
