You had a heart so big, Elvis, that you loved everyone, even those who hurt you, that is just how you were,
I hope that as I search for my spiritual peace that I can find a way to love the way that you were able to do but I am not sure,
Uncertainity dwelled in your heart so generous, I know, and when it did
you sought answers by asking questions of many types of people, and from sources like those many books written by others who were attempting to also answer the biggest question you had of "Why Me?" since you were a kid.
You wanted to know why God chose you to survive instead of your twin and you were unsatisfied with some answers and that caused you to seek out different resources again, because you needed to know, you said,
I know that now you know why because God has you there with all your family and kin,
I miss you Elvis and I wish I could have known you as a man and not just what you let us see; when you said you loved someone you spoke true,
and when you allowed that person into your wondrous heart you did not want the love to end, you fretted that we would quit loving you but we have not and never will we; even when we hear your pain when you sing of being Indescribably Blue,
I hope my name is in the book of life and that there, where you laugh with joy, and are able to freely love and are loved in return, that is where I hope that I get to go when I no longer walk this place called earth; there was never a doubt that God knew what he was doing when he sent you to the world to share your love with us here, where some called you "the boy," and others the "king,"
Your talent was a gift from HIM and you never wasted that gift because you knew that it made so many so happy and content to look forward to hearing your next song or attend a concert you were giving at one time or another here,
Thank you Elvis, Your heart was filled with a special kind of love and you shared that so often with all of us.
The kind of loving heart that you shared with us is needed so badly now because many days it seems like the world here is broken beyond repair.
Marjorie
