A noteworthy excerpt from the article:

Presley was held back from developing his acting talent to make quick-profit, formula movies, [Jan] Shepard said, and his fans should hear from those who worked with him that he could have been a serious actor.

Great quote! And a great idea by Suzanna Leigh! Kudos to her! It's about time someone started speaking out publicly on his behalf. Didn't Jan Shepard also play his friend's wife in Paradise, Hawaiian Style as well as his sis in King Creole?

I thought this one was interesting as well:

Presley made 31 feature films, in most of them playing -- what else? -- a good-looking, ultra-cool chick magnet.

In other words playing himself. Actually I think I read that he didn't identify much with the characters he played. Too shallow, I guess.

Yeah I guess you could say he was playing himself Wanda Mc as there is no doubt at all about how good looking he was, how cool he was, or that girls kind of flocked to him by the multitudes. :P  Thankfully we know, and now thanks also to what Suzanna Leigh is putting together, MANY MORE people will know that there was so much more to this wonderful man. :D
