Elvis - A Lighted Candle

Dear Maia and all who would read this

Elvis is a guide to the Light and on this, his birthday, am inspired to ask you to remember a special man who was so close to the Lord.

Elvis had faith as a child, and later on, a humility that was touching: a young lady called out in a concert, "Elvis you are the King" he reminded her, kindly but firmly that there is only one King and that is Jesus Christ, so humble and, rightfully, giving the glory back to God.

Elvis never wanted us to put him on a pedestal or to idolise him and I am sure that all realise and believe this with an inner, higher knowing that it is true. Yet I believe he would be happy and satisfied to know he has been a comfort, hope and a guide to the Light for those who love him to this day, a part of God's great Masterplan.

Just listen to "Help Me" and you will realise Elvis' humanity and need for the Lord's help. "His Hand In Mine" and you may be moved, helped and comforted. "Lead Me, Guide Me" when Elvis, as human as we all are, required guidance in his life and encouraging us to realise we can approach God too in this way, as Friend and Saviour.

Thanks, Elvis for providing us with a pathway to the Light.
