I recall reading once, Elvis, that when one looked in your eyes that you
had the ability to know, to feel, to sense, what your mission was to be on any given day and it was to keep all from being blue,
I think of the speech that you gave when you were awarded the Jaycees
Plaque for outstanding young men in America, and the line you spoke about 'without a song' does help me to understand the drive deep within you, to keep your fans happy and feeling free from their troubles if only for a little bit of time.
I must say again that those going to Graceland on the 16th will not be mourning your leaving this physically binding world but instead they go to see if they can feel you there or sense your spirit at Graceland,
I believe that the One above took you on that August day because you were struggling with so much emotional and physical pain that even you could not go another earthly step, even though you wanted to, you also knew, Elvis, that surrendering all to the One above would leave no more questions to ask. The answer to all of the questions that you had while here about 'why you' and not the twin, and why did your mama have to go so very soon.........
It is difficult to understand how anyone who said they loved may not have been sincere about loving you just for you as a human man,
A more humble man ,Elvis, except for you has not walked the earth in my time here, and I for one am sad that you are gone but I am also happy and very thrilled that you are free from pain.
The gift that you left for us here; is to be able share memories of you with our ELC family and to realize that we must stay secure in order to continue seeking completion for our spiritual quest, too.
