Elvis was a very good influence on Starla, from the beginning when she was a mere child (3 years old). He brought excitement, energy and someone other than her immediate family's opinions concerning the workings of our world and life. He guided her early development in a different way, always with understanding and patience that was special in ways only he and she would know. I was blown away when I read what he had written to her- and that was 30 years AFTER his passing, due to the fact she was and still is, one who values things from other people. His letter and notes to her were from his heart, she kept them close to hers, choosing at that time not to share them with others, including her parents. She took his death very hard and his memory is very powerful even today. Elvis was a God-send to our family, I will always believe and thank our God for giving us and the world, Elvis Presley. The books she has that were his are very well read by her and so, he continues to influence and guide through the words he read and shared..just as with his music, words, films and presence here on our earth continues. Elvis wasn't a "god" nor was he perfect in every aspect of his life, thoughts and actions (none of us are in any of those things) but he will forever be an inspiration. Great minds and hearts do continue on, delivering their special magic and know how forever and ever, and in all ways. How wise is our Lord to think of us when he formed these very necessary and gifted people for us to share, learn from and be blessed through their human forms as well as spiritual bodies. Whew, it's difficult to conceive all that in a few words. I am sorry I don't have enough knowledge of words!
