I wanted to say that I firmly believe that all the many prayers that have been said in my behalf are working- I am so much better than I was a few months ago- still have some leg and muscle things but nothing like it was. I can walk, I can do so much more than I had- I mean it's pretty awful when one is so weak and unsteady it's scary to try to take a 3 inch step over the edge of the shower stall!!! I was afraid I'd fall-that's how unsteady and weak my legs had become-this time last year it was just beginning to happen and I didn't know what was wrong. I was emotionally shot because Grandma Suzy was slipping down hill so fast and it seemed nothing was being done to help her-just more pills for her to take that only made her less able to function. And since I was not her blood kin, I had no say over any of that. Anyway, she was ready to go, she had said earlier she didn't want to "just hang on" and be a "body" with no reasoning etc:. Things became the way she hoped, and that is a strength for me to remember now. But then...loss was huge and running over everything like an oncoming train. Now, I am better and thank fully with the help of all my friends around the globe praying and sending me blessings, I am coming "baaack"- to quote a friend a little today. Thank you all, much love and blessings right back to each of you. wjh

Realize: We soon find it all but impossible to live the Christian life with our own strength and goodness. It is through God's Strength that we know courage, and through his power that we know goodness. When we realize this surrender becomes our priority. In seeking to unite our will with God's more fully, we don't want a fixed blissful union with him, one that is filled with passivity. Surrendering to him means growth and progress. It is Freedom of moving forward with and through him, so that each of our relationships and all of our work, worship, suffering and play reflect what he wants of us.
